Introduction
Trust Rehabilitation and Development Organization (TDO) is a leading national non-governmental and non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and communities whose lives and livelihoods have been severely affected by conflict, disaster, and chronic poverty. Founded in 2010, TDO is rooted in the principles of humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, and human dignity. Our core mission is to support vulnerable populations in surviving, recovering, and building resilience through a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable approach.

Mission
To provide timely, integrated, and community-centered humanitarian and development assistance that improves the lives, dignity, and resilience of people affected by conflict and disasters, through sustainable interventions in food security, health, WASH, education, protection, and climate adaptation.

Over time, TDO’s commitment has grown beyond our initial focus on livelihood. We pursue holistic development cooperation and humanitarian aid, and in response to the many challenges we face, we advocate for a wide range of issues that positively impact the lives of the rural population.
Thematic Focus Areas
1-Food Security, Livelihoods & Nutrition
TDO empowers communities to establish sustainable food systems and livelihood strategies through agricultural input support, small ruminant restocking, vocational & income generation training, and community-based nutrition interventions.
2-Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)
TDO constructs and rehabilitates water points, promotes hygiene education, and supports community-led total sanitation (CLTS) to ensure access to safe water and improved sanitation for rural and crisis-affected communities.
3-Health & Nutrition
We collaborate with health authorities to support primary health care facilities, supply medical equipment, train health workers, and conduct outreach programs to address malnutrition and prevent disease outbreaks.
4-Protection (GBV & Child Protection)
TDO implements prevention and response activities for gender-based violence, protection of vulnerable groups (women, children, persons with disabilities), psychosocial support, and awareness-raising initiatives.
5-Climate Change & Environmental Protection
TDO promotes adaptive agricultural practices, land restoration, natural resource management, and environmental awareness to combat desertification and enhance resilience to climate shocks.
6-Education & Youth Empowerment
We work with local authorities and partners to support formal and non-formal education, construct learning spaces, and equip youth with life skills, leadership development, and peace-building tools.

Longstanding partnership since 2010 on Food Assistance for Assets (FFA), PSN, Nutrition, Post-Harvest Losses (PHL), in-kind and CBT distribution, milling vouchers, and resilience building in Central Darfur.

A multi-sectoral and multi-area partnership aimed at implementing integrated WASH and education programs in Central Darfur and White Nile States.

Protection, environmental rehabilitation, education infrastructure, and support for people with special needs since 2012.
