The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response Program, under the Protection and Womenβs Health (PWH) portfolio, is implemented in Central Darfur, specifically in Um Dukhun, Zalingei, and Golo. The program forms part of a multi-sector emergency response targeting crisis-affected internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable host communities in Sudan.
The project aims to ensure that women and girls have safe and equitable access to life-saving GBV prevention, response, and protection services through community-based and survivor-centered approaches.
the program delivers integrated GBV interventions that include:
Psychosocial Support (PSS) services, Income Generating Activities (IGA), Adolescent Girls Activities (AGA), and Awareness Sessions.

Support still needed
Um Dukhun South currently has no GBV center, leaving women and girls without access to safe, confidential services. We are calling for support to establish a new center and expand livelihoods programming across all sites.
